  • This class is open to all children in grades 1-6, and is especially welcoming to children who could benefit from practicing a variety of strategies to find calm in the mind and body.

Participants find calm in the body and mind by using mindful movement activities, conscious breathing, and self soothing.

With small class sizes, we are able to understand each child's needs, and give participants opportunities to discover what works best for them. YAFA teachers are dedicated to the wellbeing of each child and invite them into the group process as they are ready. Classes include rhythm, instruments, vocalizations and breath work, gentle movement, AND FUN!

  • Yoga improves balance, range of motion and flexibility, which are all important, especially as we age. YAFA teachers dedicate themselves to making yoga safe and inviting for anyone who is interested in gaining the benefits. We do a combination of seated and standing positions, and will always suggest modifications if a pose is not working for you. Come as you are; loose, comfortable clothing is best.
