Angela Francis

The gift of yoga found Angela when she was seeking healing from trauma. Yoga guided her in reconnecting with her body and aligning with her authentic self. It was life changing for her, and in March 2022 she traveled to New York for a 200 HR training with Donna Davidge and Anna Winkler through Dhamakaya Center for Wellbeing. Her desire to learn more about the practice so that she could share this gift with others did not end there; she continued her studies and completed a Yin Certification with Kramas Yoga School, The Fundamentals of Trauma Sensitive Yoga with The Center for Trauma and Embodiment, and the Compassion Based Resiliency Teacher Training program through Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science. Additionally, Angela's passion for mental health education and support has led her to pursue a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Lakeland University, in which she is currently enrolled.

It is with this experiential understanding of trauma and the healing effects of integrating yoga, nervous system work, and mental health skills training, that Angela is able to hold space and provide guidance through a combination of mindfulness, gentle movement, and breath. This enables her students to become more fully embodied to connect to their authentic nature and deepen their yoga experience.
